恭喜发财 2010 !!!

ello all!!!  It's been ages since i last posted anything! alas... I am back home around family, friends and my new gadgets! =D it's a pity that not everyone can make it this time, i hope they aren't feeling too bad about it as I ALWAYS do feel as if a huge part of me is missing when I am abroad during chinese new year! Weather has been scorching hot since the day I landed, a huge and almost 35 degrees difference from the insanely cold europe this winter! apart from that, I've been having a great time meeting up with all my dearest relatives and friends, AND stuffing every delicacy which is 'oh-i-can't-get-these-in-germany'! *burp* 


I hope everyone else is having a great time, enjoying this festive holiday! Drink loads of water as my mom will remind me day in day out!

I have been on the fence whether i should post this photo up onto this blog because it induces such sadness when i look at it! it's not a cheerful picture at all! right?


I just got to know a friend, one whom I am not very close with actually, parted with his long time girlfriend because they have to go separate ways now. The guy will either stay in Germany or head back to Malaysia, while the girl just went back to japan. It's such a pity because they have come a long way, from what i can see and feel. The only language they speak in common is german and both of them aren't really extremely good at it, but yet, they look so sweet and nice together, and both of them really put in the effort to make it work, at least up until now. It's sad that it has to come to an end, it's even sadder when the reason for the break up isn't due to the fact that they have lost feelings for each other...


I hope they will both get over this period soon enough and move on well. I never like break-ups. BAAA!

a series for those who love coffee as much as I do, who just can't start the day without a cup of café au lait! or who will walk around zombie-fied caffein-less! (btw, just a note on café au lait, which means coffee with milk, and a pretty popular term used worldwide right? but do you know that French don't exactly drink coffee with milk? Just thought you should know and not go around asking the French, hey, do you like café au lait? hehe)

Back to the photos, they aren't exactly close to perfect if you look at them up close! tints of excessive magenta and lost/excessive shadows here and there too! BUT i am finally getting a sturdy tripod and a ballhead, AND a macro lens! =D so hopefully future studio shots will be a lot clearer and maybe i can land myself some freelance job to support this crazily expensive hobby!

alright, enough of my babbling... enjoy them coffee lovers! I am going to make myself a cup of my favourite old town 南洋 black coffee now!

no, I did not come up with this title and I didn't understand the last part too. =( Having said that, credit has to be given to my trip planner ami.L whom I will be crashing 台湾 with!

Another countdown and another vacation to look forward to! A taste of Asia which I am so deprived of and a culture that I have been longing to get close with! Having been away from home for over 5 years doesn't mean I have turned into a 番鬼仔！no, I am still as asian as I was and I still watch tons of TVB series. Lol

It's amazing how 中文 can be so expressive! I truly am blown away most of the time when I am reading my friends' 中文 blogs. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have lost touch with it for so many years and am really amateurish in it. Hence any new words or phrases amaze me to such an extent that I always hope I can return to the past and not give up my place in the high school which most of my primary schoolmates went to. sigh sigh sigh... well, what's done cannot be undone! at least I am going to 台湾 now right? ( i don't know if you feel the same way, but do these 2 similar words have the same impact on you? taiwan, 台湾 ) So, to those of you who read this post, be proud of the language and never let anyone make you dislike it in any way! =)

adiós! au revoir! my canon...

after 14 months of loyal service, my canon has found a new home and owner, whom I hope will show the same love and care I have showered on mine! a nice comfortable, well padded-bag, countless cleaning of it's heart and body, and the nice extensions it gets, sometimes a bob-cut, sometimes long and wavy. lol

Bonjour!!!


I've been suffering from photographer's block of late! mainly due to the fact that I am lazy and it's simply too cold to be holding a piece of metal in the hands without wearing a pair of gloves! 


And as of now, I am camera-less and somehow I am starting to have the motivation to start shooting again! I've seen some award winning shots this morning too and they were really inspiring! Can't wait to meet up with some kakis who share the same passion back home soon and be motivated! =)

it is the time of the year again when the whole of Germany is decorated by countless illumination around and within every petite as well as busiest towns. Locals and foreigners gather to celebrate this upcoming festival, enjoying the Glühwein together with their favourites - Bratwurst and Winzersteak!!! (mine too!) :)

a good husband?

definition of a good husband...

I was speaking to a friend today and thought this was going to be a light, funny and perhaps an enlightening entry...

not me: good husband = someone who cooks, cleans, washes, etc

me: that is maid

not me: no no..
            when there is maid, then that is maid
            but when there is no maid.
            then it is good husband

so, what are your thoughts? true isn't it?

My dad cooks. used to at least, =P

but he has been helping my mom with the household chores for the past years - mopping the floor which is ONE of the toughest task at home! he sweats so much as if he just ran a marathon!!! having said that, my mom complains that she still mops the floor cleaner than him although not needing to sweat as much.

on top of that, my dad does the dishes after dinner everyday!

well, all in all, i am sure my mom knows that she has the best husband in the world and this is after all, a photo-blog right? :)

a pleasant surprise coming from above

was awarded on a gloomy rainy saturday evening with a late burst of colours from the sky... it started with a soft pink-ish, purple-ish hue, before it got more saturated and striking (somehow) before the sun finally set. made my day!!! =)

the beast that has been crushing the poor old hospital every morning at 7 o'clock sharp!!! I was very glad to have slept until 9 today! without any 'CLAANG, BAAANG, DOONGGG'!

H O M E

It's been a very busy week and weather hasn't been any good either, and I have been lazy once again with taking photos. Have been experimenting some sort of night-blurry-shots from my balcony, but it's not really there yet! Will post them up once I have some more decent and presentable ones.

That aside, I bought my air ticket back H O M E last weekend and have been feeling excited about it! Hence, if you have also realised, I have placed a countdown widget on the page as well! How many more days now? 97days at the time of writing? hehe knowing how time will start flying soon due to christmas market starting 4 weeks before christmas, 2 weeks long of christmas break and another month of preparation before exams, it is really just around the corner!!! SO to all my dearest friends back home, I am coming back!!! and to all the food that is awaiting me, hehehe i shall grow fat!
